Step by Step

I have seen many other blogs address this topic, and have enjoyed it. Here is my attempt. This painting was a commission I did awhile back. For those not familiar with the subject matter (i.e. anyone not from Texas), this painting is of a grocery store called H.E.B. and the grackle covered trees in front of it. Grackles are little blackbirds with a very loud presence. They number in the millions, or so it seems, and can be extremely annoying. Yet, they help make up the landscape of Texas, so, I enjoy them.
